Brief Description of Role The social media reporter would write articles, record podcasts, take photos and video recordings of the Off The Grid demonstration site at the Victory Garden in Oshawa.  This site is a 6 acre community garden with off the grid solutions for solar, wind and water.

Nature of the Volunteer Position We are looking for expanding the Education Committee with participation from all fields of engineering.

Brief Description of Role The role includes providing feedback regarding the gaps in the studies and needs of practical workplace requirements for related knowledge, expertise and skills based on new technologies and workplace practices. This will include some research work related to the relevant engineering field and creating a database of potential stakeholders and subject matter for developing bridging training courses.

Nature of the Volunteer Position We are looking for webmasters to help with improving and maintaining the IEEE Toronto section website, along with our other digital properties including Eventbrite and Google Calendar. This is a great entry-level technical opportunity for front-end developers to gain experience with HTML/CSS and content management systems such as WordPress.
Type of Volunteer Sought/Preferred We are looking for a volunteer who communicates well, has a great work ethic, and pays close attention to detail. Some basic HTML/CSS experience is preferred.
Brief Description of Role As a webmaster, you will be responsible for: communicating IEEE Toronto events to members and the general public, improving the user experience and expanding functionality of the IEEE Toronto website, communicating updates and providing reports on analytics to the executive committee.

Brief Description of Role As a volunteer, you will have direct impact on improving the transition from education to industry for young professionals at the start of their careers. You will be part of an enthusiastic team to assist in event planning, booking speakers, and organizing workshops for a variety of topics covering entrepreneurship, resume writing, interview skills, among other career-building resources available to recent graduates.
