IEEE Toronto Section Executive Committee Biographies
The operation of the IEEE Toronto Section is managed by the Section Executive committee, whose members are elected or appointed every two years. On each of these pages, we introduce a member of the committee who volunteers his or her time and energy to deliver the services that the IEEE Toronto Section provides. On your behalf, we recognize their invaluable contributions.

Amir Sepasi Zahmati - Communications Chapter Vice Chair, Communications Chapter Social Media Officer

Amir Sepasi Zahmati is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Ryerson University, where he is specializing in wireless communications with a particular focus on Cognitive Radio Networks. Amir has industrial work experience as a Ph.D. Intern working on wireless systems for aircraft power convertors at Honeywell Aerospace during 2010-2011. He also worked for Ericsson as a Radio Base Station engineer during 2006-2007. Amir finished his M.Sc. Eng. at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran. He served as Publications Chair for 21st International Conference on Noise and Fluctuations (ICNF 2011) and technical program committee member for IEEE Toronto International Conference in Science and Humanity (TIC-STH 2010). He is a Teaching Assistant in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as the department of Mathematics at Ryerson University. Amir is also an IT advisor for the Computing and Communications Services department at Ryerson University.
