IEEE Toronto Section Executive Committee Biographies
The operation of the IEEE Toronto Section is managed by the Section Executive committee, whose members are elected or appointed every two years. On each of these pages, we introduce a member of the committee who volunteers his or her time and energy to deliver the services that the IEEE Toronto Section provides. On your behalf, we recognize their invaluable contributions.

Emanuel Istrate - Circuits & Devices Chapter Chair

Dr. Emanuel Istrate obtained his Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science and PhD in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Toronto. He is currently the Academic Program Coordinator at the Institute for Optical Sciences, where he specializes in unique teaching programs for students at both the graduate and undergraduate level. His interests are in holography, periodic media and the physics of semiconductor devices.
