IEEE Toronto Section Executive Committee Biographies
The operation of the IEEE Toronto Section is managed by the Section Executive committee, whose members are elected or appointed every two years. On each of these pages, we introduce a member of the committee who volunteers his or her time and energy to deliver the services that the IEEE Toronto Section provides. On your behalf, we recognize their invaluable contributions.

Barry Vuong, M IEEE - Secretary Engineering in Medicine and Biology Chapter

Barry has a B. Eng and M.A.Sc in electrical engineering from Ryerson University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in electrical engineering at Ryerson University. He has worked for the Biomedical Physics Department at Ryerson as a Research Assistant developing several biomedical imaging systems. Throughout his undergraduate degree he has co-founded of both the Hobby Electronics Club (HEC) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Young Members Section at Ryerson. As a result, Barry has received the Dennis Mock leadership award for his outstanding contributions to Ryerson University. Currently, Barry is the Vice Chair of IEEE engineering in medicine and biology Toronto. His interests are biomedical imaging, bio-photonics, and medical instrumentation.
