IEEE Toronto Section Executive Committee Biographies
The operation of the IEEE Toronto Section is managed by the Section Executive committee, whose members are elected or appointed every two years. On each of these pages, we introduce a member of the committee who volunteers his or her time and energy to deliver the services that the IEEE Toronto Section provides. On your behalf, we recognize their invaluable contributions.

Alireza Sharif-Bakhtiar - Solid-State Circuits Chapter Vice Chair

Alireza received his B.Sc degree in electrical engineering from Sharif university of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2008 and and M.Sc. from University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia in 2011. He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree in the electronics group at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Anthony Chan Carusone. Alireza's current research focuses on optical communication receivers both in CMOS and BiCMOS technologies.
