Professor Subbarayan Pasupathy, or Pas to his friends and colleagues, has been a professor at the Electrical & Computer Engineering department of the University of Toronto since 1973. At the end of the 2006/07 academic year, Pas will be officially retiring from the department. This workshop has been inspired by his contributions to research in digital communications, detection and estimation theory, biomedical signal processing and other fields. Invited speakers include his former students, colleagues and research associates, who will be celebrating the career of Professor Pasupathy through seminars describing their respective research areas, and highlighting his influence on their careers.
