Abstract

Are you graduating student or an IEEE member who's interested in pursuing a career in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any other engineering field? If so, IEEE GOLD is holding the career info session to get you ready for your job search!

IEEE GOLD Career Info Session aims to provide an exceptional recruitment opportunity to create long term relationships with the quality students and IEEE members from the Electrical and Computer Engineering field in Toronto. Company representatives are invited to present their company information and employment opportunities. We will have NEXJ, Kimberly-Clark and Baylis Medical Company, TELUS Communications Company, Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, Hydro One and Wolverine Networks joining us at this event. We are still working to bring more guests from Industry, so stay tuned!

Nathan Ng

Neil Godara

Neil Godara is Research & Development Manager for the Pain Management divisions of Kimberly-Clark and Baylis Medical Company. He guides engineering operations including biological and physics research, product conceptualization, medical method design, and market release strategies. To advance the treatment of chronic pain conditions, Kimberly-Clark/Baylis Medical innovations incorporate several distinct technologies including radiofrequency generators, internally water-cooled electrodes, biopsy devices, and modular software platforms.

Mr. Godara has over 30 published or pending patents in various disciplines ranging from medical procedure methods to software control algorithms to novel medical device designs. He invented the SInergy™ system and procedure for the treatment of chronic sacroiliac joint syndrome, the only proven treatment option for a debilitating condition that affects thousands of people worldwide.

Mr. Godara completed his Biomedical Engineering degree with an Electrical specialization from University of Toronto's Department of Engineering Science.


Alourdes Sully

Ms Sully has over 22 years of engineering and business experience in Telecommunications and Utility Power System. An active advocate for the engineering profession, she is the Vice-Chair of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, Vice-Chair of Utility Telecom Council Canada and Member of the Board of Directors - Utility Telecom Council USA. She is a veteran judge for FIRST Robotics Competition and Mentor for U of T Career Centre for engineering students. She is a member of IEEE - Power and Energy Society, Communications Society and Standards.

Ms Sully holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Management from Sherbrooke University and a Bachelor Degree in Physics Engineering from Laval University. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario and Quebec.

Ms Sully works at Hydro One as a Senior Network Specialist focusing on Smart Grid and Advanced Distribution System. Previously, she led a multi-disciplinary engineering design team responsible for Distributed Generation Connections to the power grid, the conceptual design and implementation of North American Electric Reliability Corporation' s Cyber Security for Critical Infrastructure Protection and the feasibility study overseeing the next generation Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure to support critical applications including Smart Grid for the Power System.
