Abstract

This presentation focuses on what smog is, where it comes from, the role of weather, how smog is measured and reported, how smog advisories are issued in Ontario, smog trends, and future challenges.

Biography

Dr. David Yap is Senior Scientific Advisor on Air Quality and Meteorology with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. He is the ministry's scientific spokesperson on smog.
