Abstract

Anna University, India is involved in various industry funded research projects. One such project is the development of Micro Satellites. Store and Forward (S&F) payload is the main payload of the Anna University Micro-satellite. The Aloha protocol used for satellite Medium Access Control (MAC) has low throughput due to collision. Moreover, the Slotted Aloha protocol cannot be used for satellite network as it has synchronization problem. Hence a CDMA based MAC is needed for S&F to get better throughput. The research seminar presents the design and implementation of CDMA based MAC for S&F payload.

Additionally this seminar presents the overview of Anna University, facilities in Electronics dept of MIT, the details about the current research activities in Electronics dept and discusses the possibilities of collaboration.
