IEEE Toronto Section AGM
On behalf of the IEEE Toronto Section, we are pleased to invite you and a partner/guest to join us in our annual IEEE Toronto section AGM/Dinner event. It will take place on Saturday, October 8th, 2011, at the Old Mill Inn. The Inn is located at 21 Old Mill Road, Toronto. Tel: (416) 236-2641, http://www.oldmilltoronto.com/index.html
The program for the evening is as follows:
6:30 PM: Reception and Cash bar
7:00 PM: Sitting and Introductions
7:30 PM: Dinner & Keynote Speech
8:30 PM: Section Report by Chair Wai Tung Ng
9:00 PM: IEEE Toronto Section Awards
9:35 PM: IEEE Toronto Section Business (Election of Section Officers 2012-2013)
10:00 PM: Closing Remarks

· Dress code is Elegant Casual.
· There is no fee for the AGM/Dinner event for those receiving this invitation and respective companions. The fee for all other Section members (including a companion) is CAD$50,00 (Life Members) and CAD$70,00 (Other Members).
· Seats are limited; attendance confirmation received after the deadline may be refused.

Nominations IEEE Toronto Section 2012-2013 Section Officers
Nominations for Office 2011 - 2012
The IEEE Toronto Section Nominations Committee has prepared a partial slate of candidates for the upcoming election for Section Officers. The candidates are:

Additional nominations are invited from the membership of the IEEE Toronto Section for these positions. Such membership nominations must be supported in writing by the signatures of ten or more voting members of the IEEE Section. Nominees, to qualify for election, shall have experience in at least two Section positions (not necessarily in IEEE Toronto Section), or in the combined opinion of the Executive Committee, adequate experience in the affairs of the Toronto or other Sections.
Nominations will remain open until September 15, 2011.

Volunteering a few hours a month is a very rewarding experience - we have a
great group of about 45 volunteers who contribute to the smooth running of
our Section - by distributing the workload over many Section members, the
individual load is kept small. If you are interested, please contact our
