What is IEEE GOLD?

IEEE GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) is a peer group of recent graduates and young engineers.  GOLD gives young engineers the opportunity to network with their colleagues and attend events pertaining to their interest.  IEEE GOLD, Toronto Section, is run by a group of volunteers from industry as well as academia.

Introduction

How do I register for GOLD?

Anyone who has graduated from University within the last decade and is a member of IEEE automatically becomes a member of GOLD. 

Why are we here?

  1. To promote a well-balanced professional life by operating around the non-technical aspects of engineering: professionalism, personal development and community involvement.
  2. To address personal and professional needs of recent graduates (career development and exploration, networking,  personal management)
  3. To provide young professionals with the opportunities to contribute to the engineering community and to develop their non-technical skills
  4. To organize events for EVERYONE in IEEE, from professional, technical to social in content
  5. To have events and activities which focus on young professional’s career needs and interests
