IEEE Toronto Section Executive Committee Biographies
The operation of the IEEE Toronto Section is managed by the Section Executive committee, whose members are elected or appointed every two years. On each of these pages, we introduce a member of the committee who volunteers his or her time and energy to deliver the services that the IEEE Toronto Section provides. On your behalf, we recognize their invaluable contributions.

Alireza Sadeghian, SM IEEE - Magnetics Society Chapter Chair

Dr. Sadeghian received the B.A.Sc. (Hons.) degree from Tehran Polytechnic University, the M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Toronto, all in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Since 1999, he has been with the Department of Computer Science at Ryerson University, where he holds the position of the Chair and Associate Professor.

Dr. Sadeghian's research interests are in the areas of Nonlinear Modeling, Knowledge-Based Expert Systems, Artificial Neural Networks, Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Networks, and Cryptography. He is an active reviewer of granting agencies (NSERC, OCE, PREA, CFI, PRECARN), journals (IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics; IEEE Transactions on Information Theory; IEEE Transactions on Magnetics; IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics; IEEE Transaction on Data and Knowledge Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Instrumentations and Measurement, IEEE Transactions on Education, Journal of Fuzzy Sets & Systems; EURASIP Signal Processing Journal; Microsystem Technologies) and various conferences. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
