Roza Kohen
A graduate of Israel’s Technion University in Chemical Engineering,
Roza worked at Imperial Oil for 15 years. Since, she has worked in a
number of roles at Enbridge Gas Distribution. She has over 25 years of
experience in the energy industry. Roza has a Masters degree in
Environmental Engineering from Western Ontario and is a registered
professional engineer in the province of Ontario.
Roza worked in multiple departments through out her career and
developed extensive experience in all aspects of Project Development
(from concept through to implementation); Strategic Planning; Economic
Evaluations; Marketing; Production, and Environment Health & Safety.
The jobs took her from Toronto to Sarnia to Halifax and back. In
senior roles at Enbridge, Roza advanced a relationship with the City
of Toronto, negotiating an agreement to jointly promote energy and
water efficiency retrofits, and developing a strategy to provide
financing to qualified customers in the public, non-profit and private
sectors. She created and implemented a comprehensive, integrated
Distribution Management System that provides order, consistency and
internal controls, to ensure safety and reliability for the public,
and the environment. Roza led the Environment, Heath and Safety
Department and developed multiple programs to improve the Safety
Culture and distinguish Enbridge as a leader in the Gas & Electric
Utilities sector. In her current role, as a manager of major
reinforcements, Roza is responsible for creating a 20 year gas
distribution expansion plan in Ontario.
Roza served on a number of industry committees through the American
Gas Association, the Canadian Gas Association and Ontario Energy
Association.
