Title: Effective IT Management: IT Service Management (ITSM) Approach

Abstract:
During this two hour session attendees will be introduced to techniques and methods for improving service efficiency in their organization IT infrastructure. Participants will learn different approaches using 'best practice' and widely accepted methodologies such as Shared Services and IT Service Management (ITSM) coupled with the BS15000 standard based on study cases. The content is compatible with the world-class 'IT Infrastructure Library (ITILŠ)' best practices set, and ideal preparation for more detailed study of IT Service Management (ITSM) strategy. This session will be of particular interest to IT professionals, systems and network administrators, and managers and executives who are responsible for the delivery of IT services in an organization.
Biography:
Eugene Taylashev, CCNA, MSCE, CNA, M.Sc.

Eugene is a Manager in the Information Security Group in Global Risk Management Solutions of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. As a seasoned professional with more than 14 years hands-on experience in the IT industry, Eugene has played critical roles to the success of business solutions in today's environment. He has experience in such areas as Information Security, Network Architecture and Design as well as Network Management and Messaging Solutions coupled with Project Management and Business Analysis.

Phil Salemi, M.A.Sc., P.Eng.

Phil is a manager in the Information Security practice, Global Risk Management Solutions, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Phil's engineering specialization in Control and Automation includes process automation and controller design. His other areas of focus include applied mathematics and cryptography and, in particular, the development and implementation of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions for e-commerce, financial and process automation industry sectors.
